Same problem of indexing by Vista with DNG Codec, loaded in Dec 2009. It is a shame that Adobe releases such scrap.

Where is the "rmdir /s". This is a chronic problem with my laptop for about 3 months. Have had Vista since Jan 09 on a new laptop. All of a sudden on day this sam deletion window appeared and locks up my computer so I have to shut down and restart to get rid of the window. Also appearing at the same time was an explorer window that appeared wanting to know if I wanted to go to the last web site visited. This has been nerve racking and a problem since it started

Hi Sebastien, thanks for stopping by! I have to say that I hadn't seen any jaggies up until now but looking at some files with sharp diagonal lines I can definitely see a bit of difference - Lightroom 2.5 looks a touch softer. At 200% magnification it just looks like more aggressive sharpening to me, but nothing like your examples. At 100% the jaggies are very faint and almost non-existent.

Thanks for the post. I've a different experience though, and I was wondering if you noticed that as well. What I'm actually seeing in my LR3 is a *lot* of aliasing.

Thanks for the MinTTY tip, Andy! I didn't know about it before and the fact that it's also included in the Cygwin distribution means there's one less thing to worry about installing separately. I've been playing with it this morning and it looks like I won't be needing puttycyg anymore ;-) See - some good things do come out of rants!

Agreed, the Windows console is a joke. Have a look at Console2, which puts a more usable interface on it. As for Cygwin, try MinTTY, which is a dedicated Cygwin terminal based on parts of PuTTY. Leaner and more xterm-compatible than PuTTYcyg.

I think it's a distinct possibility - especially with the stated availability of an ARM port (the iPhone and many other smartphones run one version or another of the ARM CPU). But I also think that Android fills that niche better - it has many phone-specific apps already such as SMS, email client, stills/video camera, and supports Java/Dalvik apps.
