Picasso and Africa
For a period in his life, Pablo Picasso's work was strongly influenced and inspired by African art. Today we went to see an exhibit at the Standard Bank gallery in Johannesburg titled "Picasso and Africa" which was a rather eye-opening experience for me. It was quite fascinating to be able to see the very objects that inspired the genius of Picasso and their results on his work. The many pictures and sculptures (of Picasso's) were absolutely fascinating to see in real life.
